    玉竹:Darius拥有丰厚的程序开发及产品管理职业生涯。他曾有7年的技术开发及项目管理经验。Darius在2017年即创立自己的加密货币开发机构,在2018年时创立了针对机构的医疗CRM系统。加密以及传统经历的沉淀让他在2020年创立了DROPS,目标通过DeFi为NFT带来更广阔的落地。

    玉竹:Can you provide a brief introduction of DROPS?

    Darius:Drops brings DeFi solutions to NFTs, allowing NFT holders to stake them, fractionalise and use as collateral for trustless loans. That is possible through “Margin NFTs” which can be minted with any NFT and then used at our platform. 

    玉竹:请您先给大家简要介绍一下DROPS?

    玉竹:What inspired you to build drops and what key problems are DROPS trying to solve?

    Darius:The main problem with NFTs that most of them are idle assets in the wallet and they can’t be used within DeFi protocols to generate yield. Our mission is to bring additional value from NFT assets, because every drop counts.

    With so many new NFT projects coming out, we want to create an infrastructure that will extend the utility of NFTs and preserve their value.

    玉竹:是什么激励你去创立DROPS?DROPS想要解决那些问题呢?

    玉竹:Can you explain how DROPS works? What are its core features?

    Darius:NFT staking and NFT loans can work by using our invention of “Margin NFT”. It allows users to supply NFT and borrow NFT fractions’ LP tokens. What user can do is come to Drops protocol, supply NFT with $100 DAI and obtain Margin NFT that consists of locked NFT and LP tokens worth $200 DAI. Then these LP tokens are supplied to staking and loans protocol. 

    玉竹:您能解释一下DROPS的工作机制吗?DROPS的核心功能有哪些?

    Darius:NFT抵押以及NFT借贷都可以通过我们发明的“NFT保证金”制度实现。这项制度允许用户提供NFT、据此借贷NFT的碎片化LP代币。在这个过程中,举例来说,用户可以通过来到DROPS协议中,先提供为NFT提供100美元的DAI并获得NFT保证金,“NFT保证金”是由锁仓的NFT以及对应的LP代币,这两项合起来价值会达到200美元。之后这些LP代币就可以用来抵押以及进行借贷。

    玉竹:Who are the main competitors in the DeFi+NFT market and what are DROPS' advantages towards them?

    Darius:We do have competitors in NFT loans and fractionalisation, however our solutions are different. That in turn enables us to create yield generation from NFTs.

    Our main advantage is our own Loans protocol that is based on battle tested Compound Finance smart contracts. It will serve as a foundation for NFT loans. 

    Our fractionalisation approach is also quite different.

    We enable users to retain ownership over NFTs once they have fractionned.

    We enable any whitelisted NFT to be fractioned at individual value, so that even rare NFTs would get a fair evaluation and can be used as collateral.

    By combining our loans with fractionalisation we will enable users to earn yield from NFTs, just like it’s possible to do with major assets in DeFi. 

    玉竹:在DROPS押注的DeFi+NFT赛道上,其主要竞争对手都有哪些?对比竞争对手,DROPS的优势在哪里?

    Darius:我们在NFT借贷以及碎片化的赛道上拥有竞争者,但我们的解决方案跟他们都不一样。这同时使得我们能够通过NFT来创造更多的利息。

    我们最大的特点来自于基于Compound金融智能合约的借贷协议。这将成为NFT借贷的基石。 

    此外,我们的碎片化解决方案也不一样。

    我们允许用户在NFT碎片化之后依然保有对NFT的所有权。

    我们也允许所有白名单化的NFT将其价值进行碎片化分割,这样即使稀有NFT也能够得到较为公平的估价并据此进行抵押。

    通过将我们的借贷与碎片化功能结合,我们允许用户通过NFT获得利息。这就像在DeFi中通过资产获得利息一样。

     

    玉竹:We noticed that DROPS has launched its DROPS Loans service, can you tell us what this is and how it fits into the DROPS development ecosystem?

    Darius:It is based on Compound finance and currently we’re testing it before launching on mainnet.

    It enables us to create trustless loans solutions with NFTs as a collateral. That in turn will enable it to create yield vaults with NFTs.

    Also we will be accepting governance tokens of major NFT projects as collateral. This will attract new users and create new possibilities of what can be done with NFTs.  

    玉竹:我们注意到DROPS已经上线了DROPS贷款服务,您能否告诉我们一下这项功能的具体细节以及他们在DROPS生态中的位置?

    玉竹:DROPS has three tokens DOP, dPoint and dVote, can you explain what each token is for and their core functions?

    Darius:DOP is our primary ecosystem token and will be tradable. Fees accrued from protocol will be used to buyback DOP and distribute it to DOP stakers.

    dPoint is non transferable and not tradable. It can be obtained by staking NFT to obtain new NFTs for dPoints.

    dVote also non transferable would be used for governance, it is derived from DOP.

    玉竹:DROPS有3种代币DOP,dPoint以及dVote,您能否解释一下每个代币以及他们的功能是什么?

    Darius:DOP是我们生态中的首要代币,并且可以被交易。这项协议所获得的手续费将用来赎回流通的DOP代币并且将其发放给DOP抵押者。

    玉竹:In the current NFT market, what are some notable use cases of DROPS, and what benefits can they bring to the NFT holders?

    Darius:Couple of them, first is the ability to get instant liquidity from NFT by fractionalising while still keeping ownership over it.

    If the user is holding higher end NFTs could be staked to earn yield or used as collateral to obtain loans.

    玉竹:在当前的NFT市场里,DROPS有哪些值得关注的使用案例呢?同时他能为当今的NFT持有者们带来什么样的利益?

    Darius:有好几个,首先是DROPS能够通过将NFT碎片化而瞬间为其创造流动性,而在此时所有人依然可以保持对NFT的所有权。

    如果用户持有NFT,他们可将其抵押进行生息,同时也可以将其作为抵押品进行借贷。

    玉竹:What product milestones have DROPS achieved so far? What are DROPS’ milestones  in the next 6-12 months?

    Darius:Our latest achievement is the launch of Loans protocol on testnet. Also we’ve made some great progress with product development, really excited for the product launch next month.

    Another important aspect is In the 3 months we plan to enable using NFTs as collateral in loans, create NFT Vaults, Deploy on Polygon and BSC. 

    By the end of the year we plan to launch NFT price oracles which will make our platform more scalable. 

    In 12 months we will create support for financial NFTs, which we believe will be quite widespread by then. Once financial NFTs will be more widespread, we will be the leading platform to support them.

    玉竹:DROPS迄今为止已经实现了哪些里程碑?DROPS在接下来6-12个月都会有哪些里程碑呢?

    Darius:我们最近的里程碑是在测试网上发布了DROPS的借贷协议。除此以外,我们在产品开发的其他方面也获得了极多的进展,这使我们对下个月的产品发布充满期待。

    而到今年年底,我们计划将发布NFT的价格预言机,这将使我们平台实现进一步规模化成为可能。

    而在接下来的12个月中,我们将为金融NFT提供支持。我们认为这些是一些极为多使用的产品。一旦金融NFT被大规模接受,我们将成为领先的几个支持他们的平台。 

    玉竹:A successful crypto project often has an experienced team, what core experiences do the DROPS team have to help make DROPS successful?

    Darius:We have quite diverse and extensive experience in product development and marketing. Most of the team members have been involved in crypto space since early 2016.  

    I’ve got 7 years of product development experience, back in 2017 I was running a crypto development agency, 2 years ago I also started a CRM for medical practices. And from early 2020 got back into crypto.

    Cofounder and Business Developer Nick I has worked at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

    Our CTO, Volodymyr has 13 years of development experience and a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics. He has also worked as a solidity developer for 4 years.

    Our CMO Alek has experience of running a 50 people blockchain marketing agency.

    Rest of the product team consists of 8 seasoned developers that worked with DeFi, cybersecurity and fintech. 

    Our core team first started working together back in October, when we launched Node Runners - NFT based game (which is still active). I think that experience enabled us to bond together really well, learn a lot about the market and tech, and therefore ‘give birth’ to Drops. 

    玉竹:一个成功的加密货币项目需要一个有经验的团队,DROPS的团队具有哪些让其成功的核心经验呢?

    Darius:我们有一个对产品开发与营销富有十分多元并且多样经验的团队。团队中的大多数成员从2016年开始就开始了对加密货币的参与。

    记我自己而言,我有7年的产品开发经验。在2017年我自己创立了一个加密货币开发机构。2年前我同时为一个医疗设备开发了CRM。之后在2020年早期我重回了加密货币行业。

    联合创始人以及BD负责人Nick I曾在高盛和摩根斯坦利任职。

    我们的CTO Vologymyr有13年的开发经验,同时拥有应用数学领域的说是学位。此外他也拥有4年的Solidity开发经验。

    我们的CMO Alek曾领导过50+人的区块链营销公司。

    玉竹:How do you plan to quickly acquire users to the DROPS platform? What have you done so far?

    Darius:One of the primary ways to attract new users to our platform would be through partnerships with NFT projects. We have an NFT staking solution and Loans which are valuable to most of the NFT projects, that really helps with attracting new communities to Drops.

    So far we already got communities in Vietnam, China, Russia and Turkey we plan to keep growing them. We’ve grown our twitter and telegram to 22k members strong, we have upcoming partnerships with major NFT communities as well.

    玉竹:你们计划如何快速为DROPS平台吸引用户?到目前为止你们都做过什么?

    Darius:我们吸引新用户最主要的一个方式就是与不同的NFT项目进行合作。目前,我们已经拥有一个NFT抵押和借贷解决方案,这些对大多数的NFT项目都极具吸引力,并且为DROPS吸引新的社群有极大帮助。

    目前我们已经有包含越南、中国、俄罗斯以及土耳其等多个地区社群的支持并且我们打算继续增长我们的支持者。目前我们的Telegram已经达到22k用户并且还在持续增长。我们接下来也将与诸多知名NFT社区进行合作。

    玉竹:What chains will be DROPS supporting and why?

    Darius:At first we will launch on Ethereum, shortly after we will deploy on Polygon to save gas fees associated with interaction with NFTs. Polygon has one of the fastest growing NFT communities and all the resources we need for development.

    Later this year we will also deploy on BSC, since it has one of the active communities in blockchain space.

    玉竹:DROPS将会首先支持哪些公链?

    Darius:我们首先会在以太坊上发布,在这之后我们很快将在Polygon上发布以便让用户在于NFT互动时节省交易手续费。Polygon拥有目前增长最快的NFT社区以及我们所需要的所有开发资源。

    在今年晚些时候我们将会在BSC上开放,因为他们拥有目前区块链世界中最为活跃的社群。

    玉竹:When is DROPS IDO and how can we participate?

    Darius:Drops IDO will happen on Polkastarter on 21st of May. Whitelisting has been closed already, however it will be possible to participate on airdrop events organized by Gate.

    Listing will be at one of the AMM Dex and Gate.io

    问题1:Everybody knows that NFTs have enough liquidity in tradings. (They dont have orderbooks)

    How can you take NFT assets as collaterals?

    How do you guys decide the collateral ratio(please dont tell me you have a system to do that. If there is a system or something, what are the paras?

    How can you deal with the high default rate?

    Darius:There are issues with NFT liquidity, that's why we've created Margin NFT solution.

    Margin NFT consists of User's NFT and fractionalised NFT LP tokens.

    LP tokens are locked in Margin NFT and cannot be sold by users.

    Instead they can be used as collateral or staking through a middleman contract.

    To increase stability LP tokens will consist of fractionalised NFT erc20 and DAI.

    Not all Margin NFTs would be usable as collateral, minimum requirement would be 500k worth of liquidity.

    In case there is high default rate, LP tokens of Margin NFT get liquidated to keep system solvent.

     

    问题1:NFT 的交易极度缺乏流动性(因为没有 Orderbook)

    Darius:NFT 的流动性的确存在问题,所以我们创造了「保证金NFT」这个解决方案。

    保证金NFT包含用户的NFT,以及碎片化的 NFT LP代币。

    LP代币锁定在保证金NFT里,不能被用户转卖。他们可以用它通过中间人合约来抵押,或者staking。

    为了增加LP代币的稳定性,除了erc20的碎片化NFT,还会有稳定币DAI。

    不是所有的保证金NFT都能用于抵押,其流动性价值至少要在 500K usd以上。

    至于高违约率问题,保证金NFT里的LP代币会流动起来,确保系统有偿付能力。

    问题2:How is the value of NFT anchored,Through what channels。Or there is no need to anchor its value

    Darius:Initially we will support a limited amount of NFTs from most popular projects and artists, whose value is established at the market. These values will be used as limits to mint first Margin NFTs.

    In next phase we will add NFT value adjustments through community. By the end of the year we plan to develop Oracle solution for NFT value. Prices from Oracle would be then sent to NFT price governance portal.

    To create Margin NFT user has to supply 50% of his NFT value in DAI, remaining 50% will be minted in form of NFT fractions and combined to LP tokens. That way Oracle doesn't need to be 100% correct, even margin error of 20% is acceptable since NFT is backed by LP tokens.

    问题2:用什么方式来判断锚定的NFT的价值,或者没必要去判定其价值? 

    Darius:一开始我们会有限支持最流行项目和艺术家的NFT,其价值已经被市场认可。这些有价值的NFT会被用来铸造第一批「保证金NFT」。

    第二阶段,我们会通过社区来增加NFT价值调节机制。到了年底,我们会用自主研发的NFT预言机来决定价值。预言机的报价会整合到NFT价格管理机制协议中去。 

    创造「保证金NFT」的用户必须提供一半NFT价值的DAI,另外一半会以NFT碎片的形式铸造,和LP代币绑定。这样以来,预言机报价就不需要百分百精准,哪怕有20%的价格浮动也是可以接受的,因为NFT本身有LP代币价值做背书。

    问题3:Hello, what do you think is the most likely function of DROPS to become the core competitiveness in the future? What do you think of the future development direction of this project? Or what areas do you prefer?

    Darius:In the near future we will see much more NFT assets from games and financial companies.

    At Drops we're creating solutions that will allow users to get additional value from NFTs.

    Real estate, cars, stocks can be tokenized in NFT, keeping such assets idle in wallets is ineficient. Drops might become what Aave or Compound have become for erc20 assets.

    问题3:您认为 DROPS 未来哪个功能会最具竞争力?项目未来发展的主要方向会是什么?或者你个人倾向哪个领域?

    Darius:近期的计划是,我们会从游戏公司和金融机构引入更多 NFT 资产。

    问题5:How can Drops generate profit/revenue to maintain your project, and what is its revenue model? What benefits can token holders get?

    Darius:We generate fees of fractionalisation, issuing and keeping Margin NFT active.Fees are sent to treasury, where users can deide on DOP buyback amounts and distribution.

    问题5:DROPS如何获得收入和利润来维持运转,营收模型是什么?持币人会有什么好处?

    Darius:我们通过NFT的碎片化过程来产生手续费,其他发行以及保持NFT保证金活跃的活动也可以产生费用。所有的手续费都会发到项目财政池收集起来,用户可以决定这些费用的多少比例可以用来进行回购或者分发出去。
